Our Health and Safety Courses

Designed to make learners aware of the key health and safety issues.

Included is the part they play in keeping themselves and others free from injury.

These courses are ideal for everyone entering the workplace for the first time. Such as part of a work experience programme. Or at the start of employment – as part of their induction programme.

It is a legal requirement for employers to provide Health and Safety training to employees.

The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace provides a starting for Health and Safety training. Future courses could include Level 2 or job-specific training.

Manual Handling

Under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, employers are required to take appropriate steps to reduce the risk of injury to employees.

Appropriate steps include suitable training.

The Level 2 Award in Manual Handling & Principles and Practices combines theoretical and hands-on elements of the subject. Teaching delegates techniques that enable them to lift, carry, push and pull objects safely within their individual capabilities.

It can be delivered as a half-day programme for those who only wish to gain the Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling.

Those who need to learn about practical manual handling techniques should commit to a further half-day training session and assessment. This gains the full Level 2 Award in Manual Handling & Principles and Practices. We have 3 manual handling options

Our Manual Handling Trainers Course provides delegates with a manual handling qualification. This enables them to teach/mentor/coach and induct any mandatory training that is bespoke to your organisation. This is based on current best practice.

COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)

Under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (2002), employers are required to assess the risk of all hazardous substances used in the workplace.

Designed for those responsible for the Control of Substances. The Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at work course is for employees who use hazardous substances. Often in manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities or offices within the workplace.
